Palo Alto Networks ships Cortex XCOR: AI SRE agent diagnoses alerts in under 3 minutes
shashib · x · 2026-10-17
Palo Alto Networks launched Cortex XCOR on Oct 1, an observability platform built on its recently acquired Chronosphere. Its AI SRE agent automatically investigates alerts, finds root causes and recommends actions in under three minutes on average, with a claimed 75% root-cause success rate (plus 19% still-useful analyses) and 89% average data reduction. An XCOR Operator serves as the conversational front end, backed by specialized agents for queries, alerts, dashboards and investigations — a practical agentic use case that assembles context before engineers start manual review.
