ComfyUI node turns illustrations into manga panels using Qwen-Image 2.1 Turbo
KnowledgeBig4364 · reddit · 2026-10-17
A developer open-sourced ComfyUI-MangaScreen, a custom node that converts illustrations into authentic manga pages: crisp ink lines, blank paper for light areas, solid black for dark regions, and screentone only where needed. It uses Qwen-Image 2.1 Turbo (edit) to decide black/white/toned regions, then a finishing node prints real halftone dots; a lite workflow skips the edit model. Single Python file (numpy/opencv/torch only), MIT licensed, available in ComfyUI Manager.
