AIPOCH open-sources Open-Science: desktop app where AI agents run reproducible scientific analyses
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-17
AIPOCH released Open-Science v1.0.0, a free open-source (Apache 2.0), local-first and model-agnostic desktop app where AI agents run scientific analyses while keeping the code and provenance behind every result.
- .science file: packs a finished research session — conversation branches, file versions, notebook records and verification evidence — into one portable file importable read-only on another machine, so recipients can trace how each result was reached.
- Pluggable agent engines: works on top of Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex or CodeBuddy, accepting cloud models, custom gateways, local servers like Ollama, or subscriptions.
- Science layer: 23 built-in skills, 24 data connectors, approval controls before risky actions, remote jobs; covers literature review through code execution, simulation and report generation on macOS/Windows/Linux.
