Sigma schedules instead of step counts: 12/14-step sigmas markedly improve Qwen Image Turbo outputs
Sad_Berry_4621 · reddit · 2026-10-17
A Redditor dug up Qwen2.1's sigma schedule and had Claude derive 12- and 14-step sigma sequences following the same curve. Swapping fixed step counts for these sigmas (same Euler sampler) produces noticeably better images from Qwen Image Turbo. The post includes full sigma values for 8/12/14 steps and the ComfyUI workflow changes needed (ManualSigmas node feeding SamplerCustomAdvanced).
