Open-sourced os-taxonomy: 1,590 elementary knowledge points, 3,221 prerequisite edges
aigclink · x · 2026-10-17
A new open-source project, os-taxonomy, maps the entire elementary school curriculum as a knowledge graph: 1,590 micro-topics across 8 subjects connected by 3,221 prerequisite edges, aligned to NGSS, Common Core and the UK national curriculum.
Key value: prerequisite relations are explicit, so AI tutors can go beyond answering questions — they can diagnose missing prior knowledge from assessments and plan what to learn next. It's being used as an AI tutor / RAG knowledge base, and some have wrapped it as an MCP server so agents can query prerequisites and shortest learning paths.
