MD5 fingerprint crack suggests deepseek-flash quietly updated to DeepSeek V4.1-Flash-1017
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-10-17
teortaxesTex verified that deepseek-flash's new systemfingerprint is the unsalted MD5 of fpdsv41f1017prod0820fp8kvcache20260402fp, and the old fingerprint matches the same template for the Sept 10 V4.1-Flash launch. Only the model snapshot field changed (dsv41f0910 → dsv41f1017) while serving fields stayed identical, ruling out a quantization or infra change — strong evidence DeepSeek quietly shipped a V4.1-Flash-1017 snapshot. He estimates 500M+ agentic RL trajectories (DSec) were trained in 37 days. Update magnitude unknown; official confirmation lacking.
