ElevenLabs launches Instant Soundtracks: auto-scored music and synced sound effects
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-17
ElevenLabs launched Instant Soundtracks on Oct 15 in ElevenCreative: upload a video, the model writes original music for it, then watches the footage for sound-effect cues and places each generated effect at its timestamp on the timeline (e.g., a whoosh timed to an end-card logo).
Other updates in the release:
- Better timing for short-form content and more accurate mood switching across scenes
- Use the video's existing audio as a reference: the model analyzes genre, crescendos, BPM, and instrumentation to shape a matching score rather than starting from scratch
- In the ElevenCreative Music Video Editor, effects appear as separate layers you can adjust, swap, or refine independently before exporting
