yshan2u · x · 2026-10-17
A developer downloaded all 43,013 public ICLR 2027 submissions via the OpenReview API and used Codex and Claude to build a site ranking the most-cited papers and authors within those submissions.
- Analyzed 1.75M reference entries, filtering 3,604 candidate works down to 3,034 listed papers, with a Top 1000 all-time ranking plus per-year boards
- Rankings reflect an October 11, 2026 snapshot of public submissions — not global citation counts, acceptance decisions, or quality measures
- The #1 most-cited paper is not "Attention Is All You Need"
- The reposter notes that with papers proliferating, aggregate stats like these may be more meaningful than any individual submission
