Replit Launches BYOC: Run Dev and Production in Your Own Cloud on AWS, Azure or GCP
amasad · x · 2026-10-17
Replit introduced Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) for high-stakes environments like government, finance and healthcare, supporting Azure, Google Cloud and AWS.
Three deployment options:
- Full BYOC: the entire Replit platform — compute, storage, file system, integrations and the Agent harness — runs inside the customer's cloud tenant, enabling development on core company data without it leaving premises;
- BYOC for Published Apps: published projects are hosted in the customer's own cloud;
- Image Exports: teams can self-host Replit-built apps.
Each option shifts deployment/operations responsibility differently while keeping the familiar Replit experience, extending the company's existing governance push (separate dev/prod databases, single-tenant enterprise offering).
