Perplexity CEO builds interactive physics reconstruction of Tesla Roadster jump demo

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas launched roadster.pplx.app, an interactive teaching page reconstructing Tesla's October 15, 2026 McGregor Roadster reveal, where the car climbed an inverted ramp and performed a separate airborne roll.
The model is based on manufacturer claims: fan suction up to twice the car's weight plus ten compressed-air nozzles fed by two 600-liter vessels holding 250 kg of air. It assumes an illustrative 2,000 kg vehicle mass and 850 kg·m² roll inertia, derives forces via Newton's second law, and clearly notes simplifications (no drag, no tank-pressure decay) and that this is a reconstruction, not Tesla telemetry.
