A solo developer's graph engine TRELLIS (started July) posts benchmarks beating Memgraph, Kùzu, and DuckDB on every graph query, usually by 10-1000x — e.g. pagerank 146ms vs Memgraph's 3,897ms, triangles 272ms vs 366,158ms on web-Google. DuckDB comes within 3x on a few queries, while the hand-tuned GAP C++ reference suite still wins by 1.5-2x. Loading is TRELLIS's slowest step. Memgraph raised $14M; this is one person.
