Google Research's blog post "Putting Earth AI to work," by distinguished engineer Shravya Shetty and product director Luke Barrington, sums up three updates to the Geospatial Reasoning agent:
- New technical report: systematic evaluations across four benchmarks, including two new released benchmarks — GeoKTools and GeoExpertQueries — quantifying the value of Earth AI's specialized tools and planning over out-of-the-box LLMs.
- Partner testing insights: from social impact and commercial organizations including WHO regional offices.
- Expanded access: via Ask Google Earth and an Agent-to-Agent (A2A) service.
Google Earth AI already spans geospatial foundation models for remote sensing, weather, flood hydrology, and population dynamics.
