Google expands early access to Geospatial Reasoning agent wired into Earth AI models
ymatias · x · 2026-10-17
At its Research@ flagship event, Google announced updates to its experimental Geospatial Reasoning agent and is expanding early access to more partners after promising tests.
- The agent connects Gemini to Earth AI foundation models (WeatherNext, Flood Forecasting, PDFM, AlphaEarth) via modular skills, dedicated spatial workspaces, and private data support (CSV, GeoJSON).
- Beyond answering complex spatial questions, it powers a Planetary Prediction Engine that combines satellite embeddings and population dynamics to train validated models for disease spread, crop forecasting, or environmental risk.
