Quoting Anthropic's Michael Sellitto at an IMF panel on AI and escalating cyber risks:
- About 0% of Anthropic's code was written by Claude at the start of last year; after a new model release in August, engineers said Claude finally coded "at my level," and 50% of internal code was model-written.
- By end of last year, 80-90% of the company's code was written by Claude — at a company that hires only top-tier engineers.
- Anthropic also gave its first projection that Claude will perform 80-90% of frontier model training by 2027, up from 1% in March.
