Dev proposes shared cloud-local filesystem to unify agent bot/code/work workflows
sytelus · x · 2026-10-17
Developer sytelus proposes a simple architecture to reduce agent workflow mess: a Dropbox-like file sync service mounted in both cloud VMs and a desktop app, paired with a version control provider available on both ends.
The shared filesystem would store encrypted secrets, artifacts, and agent memory, while version control lets developers shut their laptop and transparently move work to the cloud VM. He credits Claude for already unifying Work/Code/Bot modes well, arguing the missing shared-filesystem piece could unlock more features for OpenAI and Muse alike.
