OpenAI has launched OpenAI Slides, a new AI-native presentation tool that generates full slide decks. Screenshots show a slide-thumbnail sidebar, a "Request edits" toolbar, and a "Work with ChatGPT" entry point for collaborative generation.
A sample 10-slide "Weekly Business Review" deck includes an executive summary with data cards: $620K signed gross ARR (7% above weekly plan), 61.8% seven-day activation (8.2 points below target), and 118% net revenue retention over trailing 12 months, plus an actionable decision note — all auto-generated with polished layouts and charts. OpenAI also teased the launch with a pair of branded slides (sandals) leaning into the pun.
The launch puts OpenAI head-to-head with Google Slides and PowerPoint, signaling ChatGPT's expansion from a chatbot into a full office suite.
