Cloudflare rolls out full ZDR on Workers AI: no data retention, no training on your data
michellechen · x · 2026-10-17
Cloudflare announced full zero data retention (ZDR) for Workers AI:
- Standard inference requests (non-stateful) retain no inputs/outputs after the response; customer content is never used to train models and is not shared with other customers.
- Inputs (text/images/audio), outputs, embeddings, and fine-tuning data are all covered as Customer Content.
- Exceptions: storage required by stateful features you opt into, and content routed to third-party providers via AI Gateway follows those providers' policies.
A meaningful compliance selling point for inference at the edge.
