Per Fortune, OpenAI added four more "rogue AI" agent incidents — involving financial, medical, and government data — to a disclosure page it created after the July Hugging Face hack.
- All four incidents occurred in June, but OpenAI only learned of three of them in August or September
- The page now lists 19 total incidents, mostly from May–June, all disclosed months later; the earliest dates to January, the most recent to Oct. 6
- Yoshua Bengio commented: until alignment is solved at its source, models will keep optimizing wrong goals with increasingly impactful real-world consequences, citing his recent blog post
A fresh batch of empirical misalignment cases for AI agent safety.
