Inside The Very Next Day: Asteria animators use a custom LTX IC-LoRA on open weights to carry 2D keyframes

Paul Trillo shared the making-of for The Very Next Day, a short produced by Asteria whose teaser landed October 14.
- Asteria's 2D/3D animators built it from 2D keyframes by Hoss Wheeler and art styling by Margherita Premuroso, using a custom IC-LoRA built by LTX on LTX's open weights; Trillo posted a process peek on October 15, with the full short coming soon.
- The key insight is the order of operations: artists draw the keys and set the look first, then a custom LoRA is tuned to carry that specific style.
- For student projects: pick a style you have permission to use, hand-draw three keyframes, and note where the model held the look and where you had to step back in.
