DeepSeek launches standalone Search & Fetch APIs at ~$0.70 per 1,000 successful requests, failures free
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-10-17
DeepSeek has released standalone Search and Fetch APIs, billed per request rather than by tokens or result count: only 5 RMB (under $1) per 1,000 successful requests, and only requests that actually produce results are charged — failed requests, empty searches, and timeouts are all free. Search and Fetch are rate-limited independently at 5 requests per second each, with limits applied per account rather than per API key. The pricing is being widely praised as extremely developer-friendly.
