Shield AI announced that L3Harris has licensed its Tracker C-UAS software to equip the VAMPIRE platform, creating an integrated counter-drone solution.
- Tracker C-UAS uses proprietary AI and computer vision to detect, discriminate, and track distant drone threats in EO/IR video
- It provides passive sensing with early warning without radar or RF emissions, letting operators engage without revealing their position and compressing the OODA loop
- The integration builds on earlier joint demos pairing L3Harris WESCAM MX-Series sensors with the software to detect multiple UAS classes at range
- Shield AI is also offering the software for licensing on other platforms operators already use
