Evidence from kevinnbass's thread: in October 2023 Anthropic, Google, Microsoft and OpenAI, the Frontier Model Forum's founding members, announced an AI Safety Fund of more than $10 million, with Jaan Tallinn among philanthropic partners; its 2024-2025 grants went to FAR.AI, Apollo Research, Nemesys Insights, SecureBio, OpenMined and Faculty, with no per-grantee amounts disclosed. Separately, OpenAI's nonprofit reported $333,333 grants to the Center for AI Safety in each of 2023 and 2024 for "research to ensure AI safety".
