X-Reset eases RL exploration for dexterous hands by resetting to human hand-object states
weichiuma · x · 2026-10-17
Training RL policies for high-DoF dexterous hands suffers from a hard exploration problem. X-Reset addresses it by resetting the environment to human hand-object states, making object-centric RL easier to generalize.
With this approach the team trains a single policy that manipulates a variety of objects to arbitrary goal poses; details are laid out in the project thread.
