Gridworld: a real-time dungeon crawler benchmark for locally run decision models
maddie-lovelace · reddit · 2026-10-17
Reddit user maddie-lovelace built Gridworld, a dungeon-crawler-style benchmark for decision models that lets you watch AI fumble through a dungeon in real time. The demo runs Gemma 26B MoE locally on an M5 MacBook Air, with live action-probability bars (north/south/east/west/attack/wait) and the model's generated plan text, e.g. heading east toward the goal while avoiding monsters. Part benchmark, part entertainment.
