ComfyUI-SceneCut: frame-exact scene detection, cut fixing and clip export for ComfyUI
LatentSpacer · reddit · 2026-10-17
A new ComfyUI node pack cuts videos into scene-accurate clips for dataset prep, per-shot processing or splitting films.
Highlights
- OmniShotCut finds every shot and labels dissolves, wipes, fades and jump cuts
- DINOv3 double-checks each cut so flashes, strobes and whip pans don't split a shot
- Built-in viewer with timeline, frame stepping and cut evidence; a one-click "Fix cut" for off-by-a-frame errors
- Export per-scene clips with sound (H.264/H.265/NVENC/ProRes/lossless FFV1) plus scenes.json, no ffmpeg needed
- Scenes output as IMAGE batches for further workflows; presets for film, music videos, anime, vlogs and sports
Speed: on an RTX 4090, detecting and checking a 6.5-minute 2560×1080 film takes 1 minute; exporting all 223 scenes to H.264 took 139 s.
Install: clone into customnodes and pip install -r requirements.txt; models (OmniShotCut 164 MB, DINOv3 1.2 GB, SSCD 178 MB) download on first use. Tested on Linux with ComfyUI 0.39/0.41; feedback welcome for Windows/macOS.
