Nvidia-backed Elorian launches visual reasoning model Glimpse, claims it beats GPT-6 Astra at 1/17 the price

Elorian, an Nvidia-backed startup valued at $300M after a $55M raise (with Jeff Dean among backers), launched Glimpse, a visual reasoning model in research preview. Its "visual scratch space" lets the model re-inspect images, zoom into regions, pull video frames and run code mid-reasoning. The company claims Glimpse beats GPT-6 Astra on robotic manipulation, scientific charts, object counting and video captioning, trained by a small team on a few hundred GPUs. API pricing is $0.60/M input and $3/M output tokens — about 17x cheaper than Astra.
