PRFL ablation: full-trajectory reward feedback beats early-only or late-only training
gowthami_s · x · 2026-10-17
The author highlights an interesting ablation from the PRFL paper: with the same reward model, they compare training only early denoising steps, only late steps, or steps sampled across the full trajectory.
On a 100-prompt test set, early-only training scores better on motion than late-only, while late-only does better on anatomy; sampling across all stages scores best on both, suggesting feedback at different stages is complementary.
