Gartner: 18% of marketing leaders cut roles over AI, entry-level jobs may vanish by 2030

Gartner found 18% of surveyed marketing leaders have already eliminated some roles because of AI, while nearly one-third have reworked existing functions; it predicts a majority of high-performing marketing teams could eliminate traditional entry-level jobs by 2030. The author argues the efficiency story is easy but the organizational one is hard: junior marketers have long learned judgment by doing research, analysis, content production, and reporting—work AI now does faster. "If we remove that layer, where does the next generation learn how to think?" Companies will need to redesign their operating models.
