Elorian launches Glimpse, a visual reasoning model claiming parity with GPT-6 Astra
AndrewDai · x · 2026-10-17
Elorian's AndrewDai unveils Glimpse, billed as the first "visual thinking model." Targeting the weakness of models acing single images but failing on moving or angle-shifted scenes, Glimpse matches GPT-6 Astra on key public visual reasoning benchmarks. It tracks objects through motion, reasons across viewpoints, predicts physical consequences, revises internal visual representations during reasoning, uses multimodal tools end-to-end, and coordinates subagents. Built by a small team, it's substantially smaller and cheaper, free on the chat interface with an API.
