Small team claims frontier multimodal model at 17x lower cost with hundreds of GPUs

A developer claims a small team built Glimpse, a frontier-level multimodal model matching or exceeding "Astra" on 5 of 12 benchmarks at 17x lower token prices and beating "Gemini 3.8 Flash" on real-world vision — using only hundreds of GPUs. The claimed technique performs recurrent computation over latent visual representations instead of text chain-of-thought, and can orchestrate subagents over internal visual states.
Caveat: "Gemini 3.8 Flash" doesn't exist, and hundreds of GPUs matching frontier labs is implausible — the post appears to be a parody of model-launch announcements, unverified.
