A developer released ai-gateway-mcp, an MIT-licensed MCP server deployable to your own Vercel account in one click, letting Claude/ChatGPT call media generation models at provider list price with no markup. A demo generated a watercolour fox image for $0.007 and a 5-second video for $0.09. It supports image gen/edit/upscale (FLUX, GPT Image, Nano Banana, Recraft), text- and image-to-video (Veo 3.1, Kling, Seedance, HeyGen) with motion control and extend, TTS and Whisper transcription, plus listmodels and estimateonly for pre-spend cost checks. Security note: secrets go in the URL (Vercel stores only the SHA-256 fingerprint) with an AI Gateway budget as a hard spend cap; usage reporting requires a paid Vercel plan.
