Pro-AI super PAC Leading the Future reports zero new donations as safety PACs gain ground

Transformer reports that Leading the Future — the pro-AI super PAC backed with $100m+ from Andreessen Horowitz, Ron Conway and OpenAI's Greg Brockman to fight AI regulation — is struggling. This week's FEC filings show zero new donations last quarter; its new pro-data-center PAC Building the Future also reported none, despite recently spending $400k on a South Carolina race. Meanwhile pro-safety PACs have become a major funding force, and voters broadly favor AI regulation. Also: the Super Intelligence Force held its first meeting; eight state AGs sued OpenAI over harm to minors; OpenAI uncovered an alleged Saudi spy, Abdulrahman Alfozan, arrested by the FBI.
