The Verge tests Nvidia RTX Spark laptops: Surface Ultra packs 128GB unified memory
The Verge AI · rss · 2026-10-16
Nvidia's RTX Spark N1X, an Arm-based SoC for laptops and small desktops rivaling Apple, Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm flagships, is here — available from six manufacturers, with The Verge collectively testing four. The chip pairs many CPU cores with RTX Blackwell graphics and enough unified memory to run sizable local AI models. The flagship placement is Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra with a staggering 128GB of unified memory (fully reviewed by Tom Warren), while Sean Hollister tested a 64GB Asus machine.
