Accenture caps employee Claude allowance at $29/month while heavy users burn $500–$1,000

According to markk, Accenture now centrally funds only $29 per month per employee for Claude. Some heavy users were burning $500–$1,000 monthly, mostly on Claude Code for internal tools and client work. Anything above the cap must be charged to a specific project; high-usage staff are scrambling to get on Premium plans or find teams willing to cover the difference, and access can still be reviewed or pulled based on "role and business need."
The irony: the consulting firm that has been telling clients to go all-in on AI is now discovering what the bills look like when people actually use it.
