AI coding needs a new UI: separate chain of thought from current state and asks

Rob Leclerc argues AI coding tools need a UI overhaul: chain of thought should be separated from "where are we now, what do I need to know, what do you need from me," each with sufficient context.
Today's AI either assumes context you don't have or forces you to read through long, mostly unnecessary rambling CoT. Users should operate at an executive level rather than as a companion coder.
