Agent Standup: open-source monitor shows Claude Code sub-agents as a live call
stickygoose · reddit · 2026-10-16
A developer released Agent Standup, a free MIT-licensed tool that visualizes Claude Code sessions and sub-agents as a live call: who's working, who's stuck, which session is waiting on you. It reads session files read-only from /.claude/projects (zero tokens, nothing sent anywhere), shows per-agent token usage, flags long-running or silent agents, and replays past sessions. It also supports Codex and Mistral Vibe.
Notably, most of the tool was built with Claude Code itself: it reverse-engineered undocumented session file formats from real transcripts, and each release is validated by running old vs. new versions side by side on 120 real sessions plus an adversarial sub-agent review that caught a bug tests missed.
Try: npx @doublegeste/agent-standup --open, or via VS Code/Cursor extensions; desktop app available.
