Reflection AI's 501B open model Beam fine-tunes with LoRA on a single 8x B300 node
QGallouedec · x · 2026-10-16
QGallouedec shows that Beam, the new open model from Reflection AI (501B total, 23B active), can be fine-tuned with LoRA via TRL's SFTTrainer on a single node of 8 B300s. The entire parallelism setup is one line — DistributedConfig(fsdpsize=8, epsize=8) — with the example script open-sourced in the TRL repo under sftbeam.
