VideoGen-Agent: An 8B Multimodal Agent Turns Video Generation Into a Tool-Use Loop
jiqizhixin · x · 2026-10-16
Researchers present VideoGen-Agent, a trainable 8B multimodal agent built on Qwen3-VL-8B-Instruct that reframes video generation as a multi-turn tool-use loop. Motivation: prompt alone can't specify tai chi stances, real recipe steps, or multi-shot continuity. The agent calls retrieval, generation, and verification tools (text/image search, motion simulation, object detection, depth estimation), then decides how to generate based on tool outputs. Training uses supervised fine-tuning to build tool-use ability, followed by multi-turn reinforcement.
