DeepMind wires Antigravity into AlphaFold to speed up science, finds novel antimicrobial peptide
pushmeet · x · 2026-10-16
Google DeepMind says it has evolved its coding agent Antigravity into an end-to-end scientific research tool, combining its latest Gemini models with science-specific models like AlphaFold and AlphaGenome and new interfaces such as a Biomolecular Structure Viewer.
The team cites a concrete result: researchers studying antimicrobial resistance surfaced a novel antimicrobial peptide candidate in a single Antigravity session.
To help academic researchers adopt the stack, DeepMind launched an "Antigravity for Science" credits program, alongside a published case study on the antimicrobial resistance work.
