threepointone · x · 2026-10-16
Developer bertieai reports that keeping 1,000 Cloudflare Durable Objects awake costs $4,050/month the standard way — but he runs the same 1,000, on the same code and still on Cloudflare, for $22/month, a 99.5% reduction. He breaks down the approach in a thread, a useful cost datapoint for anyone running many Durable Objects for agents or real-time services.
