terryyuezhuo · x · 2026-10-16
Wu Zijing reported that China's Ministry of Commerce (MofCom) and MIIT have rolled out a full update to export controls covering AI, semiconductors, healthcare and more, confirming an earlier scoop. Terry Yuezhuo highlighted two key controlled entries:
- 266501J – AI Large Model Technology: large models trained using China's core data that provide services after training.
- 266502J – AI Agent Technology: agents used specifically or primarily in high-sensitivity scenarios such as national critical information infrastructure, defense/military, and core government affairs, at high-performance levels.
This formally brings China-data-trained LLMs and high-sensitivity agent tech under export control scope.
