Leaked OpenAI roadmap hints GPT-6.1 Astra and GPT-6.5 Bell landing by end of 2026
VraserX · x · 2026-10-16
An unverified post claims OpenAI will ship two more models this year: GPT-6.1 Astra, an early checkpoint of GPT-6.5 Bell, followed by Bell itself before end of 2026.
The author predicts Bell will saturate science benchmarks across math, physics, biology and chemistry, deliver Opus 5.5-level taste, a massive jump in complex backend coding, AA-to-AAA game design capability, and superhuman computer use, calling 2027 "the year of ASI". No official source; treat as rumor. (Others note the name should be "Bel".)
