Liquid AI tutorial: fine-tune your d1-3B decision model in 30 minutes on a free GPU
helloiamleonie · x · 2026-10-16
Leonie from Liquid AI released two tutorial notebooks showing how to fine-tune a decision model (one that makes decisions instead of generating text) on your own data. Using customer-support intent classification on Banking77 as the example, the notebooks walk through SFT + LoRA fine-tuning of the d1-3B decision model with Unsloth and Hugging Face TRL, plus before/after accuracy evaluation. Runs in 30 minutes on a free-tier Colab GPU; open-sourced in the Liquid4All/cookbook repo.
