Dev open-sources lgtmaybe: running PR code reviews on a local 27B model via hunk splitting
mattjcoles · reddit · 2026-10-16
Developer mattjcoles released lgtmaybe, an open-source code reviewer (162 stars on GitHub) focused on making PR review work on local models:
- Large files are reviewed hunk by hunk, and big diffs are split to fit the context window, so a 27B model copes fine
- Default is five model calls per review, runnable on a single GPU
- Repo: github.com/MattJColes/lgtmaybe
The author is asking the community which local models actually perform well at code review, to improve the defaults.
