TouchScale releases 500 hours of unified egocentric vision-tactile data for scaling study

TouchScale, from Texas A&M, Google DeepMind, CMU, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Yale, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Meta, UW and others, contributes 500 hours of first-person vision-tactile data collected with a unified wearable sensing and recording system. Existing public human visuo-tactile datasets span only a few to dozens of hours, and naively merging small datasets mixes sensors, pipelines and formats, making it unclear whether gains come from more data. The project tests whether visuo-tactile data shows scaling benefits like first-person video does.
