Open-source Minecraft mod lets Claude agents build in-world from terrain as specs
Acclynn · reddit · 2026-10-16
A developer released WorldPrompt, an open-source Minecraft mod that works like "WorldEdit with AI": select a region, type a prompt, and an agent reads the existing terrain as specs and builds in the background, with a replay of what it did. Lectern books provide extra spatial context. Architecturally, the mod calls a separate "core" program that connects to Claude or Codex CLI, with a UI for picking provider, model, and effort. It's server-side only, so multiplayer needs no client install. The author says Opus 5.5 followed precise instructions far better than GPT-6 Astra, and the project is fully forkable on GitHub.
