Excaliflow goes fully open-source: hand-drawn diagrams with live animated data flows in a single HTML file
Saboo_Shubham_ · x · 2026-10-16
Excaliflow is now 100% open-source, reportedly built with Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity (with the model now said to be available to Pro users).
- Hand-drawn sketching: draw boxes, circles, decision diamonds, freehand sketches and sticky notes using Excalidraw's hand-drawn fonts (Excalifont, Virgil, Cascadia)
- Live animated arrows: comets, pulses, neon streaks, or dashed streams travel along arrows in order — great for AI agent, RAG pipeline, and system architecture diagrams
- Fast editing: drag arrow endpoints, curve via midpoint, double-click to straighten; Tab or + ports auto-add and connect next steps
- Export: crisp 2x PNG or 60fps video loop
- Runs in a single HTML file with zero dependencies
