Alibaba's Qwen team open-sources BlenderWorld benchmark for 3D scene-building agents

Alibaba's Qwen team released a new open-source repository, BlenderWorld, on October 14, 2026, designed to measure how well visual agents can create 3D scenes in Blender based on real-world references.
The poster reads it as a signal: companies tend to build benchmarks in areas where they plan to improve their models, so Qwen is likely to focus on agent skills for 3D design and on driving tools like Blender via MCP — and may publish upcoming models' results on this benchmark. He notes this is his own guess, not an official announcement. The repo had 50 stars shortly after release.
