Would you install another SDK for agent debugging on top of your tracing stack?
Sensitive-Parsnip-12 · reddit · 2026-10-16
A product-market discussion on agent debugging: assuming you already trace runs with Langfuse, Braintrust, LangSmith or OTel, which would you try first to narrow a bad run down to the few places worth checking?
Option 1: connect your existing tracing stack and work from that data. Option 2: install a small SDK (a few lines to add) capturing things traces usually miss — which retries belong to the same operation, state between steps, what a tool actually changed, and whether the final outcome was checked. The author asks what specifically would make you pick the SDK over your existing traces.
