Removing context conditioning makes image conditioning stronger in flow-guided video generation

pixlpa · x · 2026-10-16

Experimenting with flow-guided video generation, the author removed the "context conditioning" that uses the previous 4 flow frames to guide results. Without it, image conditioning becomes much stronger with minimal impact on continuity (t=8).

He previously tested an alternative T=16 flow model (same image model, seed, and data): higher T yields noisier flow maps, but motion continuity improves since more frames are generated in a single inference.
